"Grand Theft Auto 5" Available Free Today On The Epic Games Store
With 120 million copies sold so far, GTA 5 is available for free on Epic Games Store.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the cult classics in the world of gaming with over 120 million copies sold so far since its launch in 2013. Only Minecraft and Tetris are above GTA 5 in sales which speak volumes about the popularity of the game. The GTA 5 is a multi-platform game with a single- character story arc. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows are the different platforms supporting GTA 5. In a major development, Rockstar Games’ 2013 game will be available for free till May 21, 2020.
Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 5 became available for free from Thursday morning on the Epic Games Store. The Windows PC version of GTA 5 is this week's free game, unlocked at 11 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) as a free download until May 21, according to Epic Games. News of the game’s Thursday release came through a tweet from Epic Games on Wednesday night.
Players that download GTA 5 in the current week will be available to keep and play the game for free beyond May 21. The only condition for the gamers is to add two-factor authentication on their accounts. Epic Games added the two-factor authentication on April 28 and will be expiring on May 21. Gamers won’t have to enable the security feature post-May 21. Epic Games was offering free games on its platform last year and would continue to offer free games in 2020 also.
